ACLU helps local woman defend her free speech rights at a park board meeting

The ACLU of Minnesota wrote a letter to the Minneapolis Park Board after they stopped a local resident, Arlene Fried, in the middle of her speech during her allotted time. Mrs. Fried was cut off during the May 2nd, 2006 after she criticzed an of the Minneapolis Park Board. After receiving the letter, The Minneapolis Park Board put Arlene Fried on the agenda for the May 16, 2007 meeting.
