Gina Walters began work with The Greater Minnesota Racial Justice Project, in Bemidji, as a volunteer in 2004. Although her educational background is unrelated, as a graduate of UW-Stout with degrees in Textile Design, and Art, she grew up in a very politically active family. Gina is now our project office manager and court monitoring coordinator. She is responsible for recruiting volunteers as record keepers in the courtroom. Beltrami County has been her focus with goals of covering our seven county area. Our presence in the courtroom promotes accountability, raises public awareness, and we become advocates for the improvements needed within the judicial system. Gina is also responsible for staff scheduling, designing event flyers and brochures, and general office management.
