An educational workshop providing legal rights information for youth was held on August 16th, 2007 in Ball Club, MN. This event, entitled "Know Your Rights", was sponsored by the Leech Lake Youth Division, Leech Lake Diabetes Prevention Program, and the Greater MN Racial Justice Project, ACLU-MN. Speakers included Robbie Howe - District 1 Representative, Audrey Thayer - GMRJP, Chuck Samuelson and Teresa Nelson - ACLU-MN, Mike Klinkhammer - Anishinabe Legal Services, Tim Aldrich - Regional Native Public Defense Corporation, Guy Gambill - Council for Crime and Justice, and Michael Smith - spiritual advisor. There were 92 attendees.
