ACLU entities will ensure that minimum data security provisions, as outlined in the MOU Section II.6, are in place to conform to the ACLU Privacy Statement. ACLU entities will follow ACLU national's direction to update or enhance their security measures to the extent necessary to respond to new or unaddressed security concerns.

The National Office has vetted Convio's security and privacy practices and is confident that they are state of the art and frequently upgraded.
Please note that there is an annual security audit in place which covers Convio and its applications. Although data transmission over the Internet can never be guaranteed 100% secure, Convio takes appropriate steps to minimize security risks. All information provided to Convio is transmitted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. SSL is a proven coding system that lets your browser automatically encrypt, or scramble, data before it is transmitted. Convio also protects account information by placing it on a secure portion of the Site that is only accessible by certain qualified employees of Convio.
