Vonda is a graduate of the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Texas Southern University, with honors. She was a member of the Thurgood Marshall Law Review, and a graduate teaching assistant. She has worked as an assistant attorney general (AAG) for the state of Texas since 2016, including most recently as an attorney trainer, training new AAGs to effectively represent the interests of the Texas Office of the Attorney General in child support matters. Vonda has also served as a Mitchell Hamline adjunct faculty member since 2018 working in courses in Administrative Law, Environmental Law and Constitutional Law, Liberties.
