The ACLU of Minnesota invites you to a community event North Star Talk

North Star Talk at Padraigs Brewing

The ACLU-MN is hosting a community event to update ACLU-MN supporters about the work we’ve been doing since November 2025, with a focus on our response to Operation Metro Surge. We will have Know Your Rights resources and cool ACLU-MN swag. Executive Director, Deepinder Mayell will be giving the update and then answering your questions. Heavy appetizers will be abundant! And if you RSVP to Hailey Bailey at hbailey@aclu-mn.org you’ll receive a free drink ticket at the event! The ACLU-MN continues to show up and fight for the civil liberties of all Minnesotans. Join us!

School Board Watch: K-12 LGBTQ+ rights

This town hall will focus on how to advocate for school district policies that protect LBGTQ+ students. We will cover know-your-rights information, how to identify good policies for school districts, and recent litigation updates regarding students’ rights to play a sport according to their gender identity. You will hear from ACLU-MN experts and community leaders about how you can support the work of school leaders through becoming engaged advocates.

2026 Annual Member Meeting

Are you a member of the ACLU of Minnesota? We're gearing up for the (virtual) annual meeting, and all members are invited! Members will vote on new board members, hear reports about the organization's activities and financial condition, and conduct other business: Saturday, April 18, 9 a.m. Zoom Advance registration is required for the Zoom meeting. The registration deadline is midnight on Tuesday, April 14. This event is for members only. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with information on how to join the meeting.
