School Board Watch: Back to School Town Hall

It's September, and that means that students and teachers are back in the classroom. Join the ACLU of Minnesota on Tuesday, September 22 at 6 PM CT for a virtual School Board Watch town hall! In this month's town hall, we’ll cover know-your-rights information, how to identify good policies for school districts, and how to document and report possible civil liberties issues. You'll hear from ACLU-MN experts and community leaders about how you can support the work of school leaders by becoming engaged advocates.

Screening of "Minority Report"

On Thursday, Sept. 24, the ACLU of Minnesota will host a free screening of "Minority Report," a 2002 Tom Cruise film shows the pitfalls of surveillance states. After the screening, ACLU-MN staff members will speak about the movie and the implications of surveillance in 2026. The conversation will also cover the work the ACLU-MN has done — and will do — to rein-in the use of Automatic License Plater Readers, and how you can get involved. Registration is required.
