The American Civil Liberties Union of Minnesota has named its new officers, including its first woman of color to serve as board chairperson. 

The ACLU-MN responds to a new report that shows the city of Minneapolis and its police department “engage in a pattern or practice of race discrimination in violation of the Minnesota Human Rights Act."

A growing list of groups including the ACLU of Minnesota, Racial Justice Network, Minneapolis NAACP, Reclaim the Block and CUAPB today urged the Minneapolis City Council to delay its vote on the police contract so members and community groups have time to scrutinize it.
