On Thursday, May 7, the ACLU-MN hosted Office Hours, a virtual event that allows viewers to drop in and get their most pressing questions answered by one of our staff experts. Ver en español, Office Hours en español con Julio Zelaya y Karla Esqueda.

This week, we dropped in on our Greater Minnesota organizers Julio Zelaya and Karla Esqueda, who answered questions like:

  • How is the Stay at Home order impacting immigrants and their families, both in the Twin Cities and in Greater Minnesota?
  • What should the state be doing to protect immigrants who are detained in Minnesota county jails from the spread of COVID-19?
  • What's it like to organize in Greater Minnesota? What are the special concerns of people who live outside the Twin Cities, and what is the ACLU-MN doing to help?

Watch this space for future Office Hours events with other staff experts.
