Ian is a staff attorney based in southern Minnesota who litigates civil liberties cases. His priorities include immigration rights, racial justice, and fair policing practices. He received his bachelor’s in history from the University of Minnesota in 1999 and his law degree from Seton Hall Law School in Newark, N.J. in 2002. He has worked with the Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center and Catholic Charities of Tulsa, and he owned his own law firm before joining the ACLU. He is a member of the National Police Accountability Project (NPAP). Ian lives with his wife and two children.
