Love & Law: Celebrating 100 Years of the ACLU

How can you experience a star-studded night with Minnesota's great authors and performers -- and make double the difference for the ACLU?

Come to "Love & Law: Celebrating 100 Years of the ACLU" on Jan. 28 at the Dakota. The event features Louise Erdrich and Brenda J. Child, and performances and readings by Chastity Brown, T. Mychael Rambo, Kao Kalia Yang, Dan Chouinard, Bradley Greenwald and Prudence Johnson.

The authors and performers are donating their talents to celebrate a century of the ACLU defending Constitutional rights and freedoms, and to continue the fight for everyone's civil liberties. There will be music, readings, and yes ... cake to honor the ACLU's birthday.

Birchbark Books is teaming up with ACLU-MN to mark the occasion and launch a new book of essays called "Fight of the Century: Writers Reflect on 100 Years of Landmark ACLU Cases." Every guest gets a copy of the book.

And now your ticket purchase can have twice the impact: An ACLU-MN donor will match all ticket sales to this event, dollar for dollar!

Tickets are $100. That's $1 for every year the ACLU has fought for civil rights. Want to donate but can’t make it? Reach out to jhawkinson@aclu-mn.org, and we’ll give your ticket to an intern or student worker

Call the Dakota box office at (612) 332-5299 or purchase tickets online.
