TESTIFY Tuesdays: Housing and Economic Justice

March 28, 2023 @ 5:30 pm

In conjunction with the TESTIFY exhibit at the Cargill Gallery (February 1-March 29), this workshop guides participants through exercises that will help them create personal narratives and testimonials to advocate for social change.

Produced by the Diane and Alan Page Collection and facilitated by Change Narrative LLC, the American Civil Liberties Union of Minnesota and The Loft Literary Center, themes will be offered each week in collaboration with local social justice organizations to connect participants to meaningful advocacy opportunities that reflect their values and goals.

This week's topic will be housing and economic justice. Come to the library early to view the gallery exhibit and then go to Doty Board Room at 5:30 p.m. to learn how you can impact history by engaging politically.

This workshop is a nonpartisan advocacy exercise, and the participating organizations are here to provide examples of how advocacy can work to advance specific causes. Individuals can choose a topic for their public comment or testimony or reach out directly to their elected officials.

This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
