People leaving prison or jail can have a tough time finding housing. Trouble finding a landlord who will rent to them or landing a paying job leads to a startling statistic: More than 10 percent of those leaving jails and prisons are homeless in the months before or after incarceration, according to a Volunteers of America study.
At this forum, experts will tell their stories about how their lives have been impacted by the lack of re-entry housing and will offer solutions to this crisis. We will deliver actionable resources, tools and opportunities.
