Office Support & Research Volunteer
Where: St. Paul Office (2300 Myrtle Avenue, St. Paul, MN)
Schedule: 4-5 hours/week, during normal business hours (9-5 pm, M-F). Flexible hours.
Time Commitment: 2-3+months (beginning ASAP, ending in February/Match, with the possibility of extending depending on volunteer interest.)
Under the supervision of ACLU Staff, help with administrative projects and research. A typical day in this role would include:
- Burning copies of educational DVDs & CDs (30 mins)
- Packing educational materials in preparation of shipping (30 mins)
- Looking up address ZIP codes online & entering them into a spreadsheet (2 hours)
The best-suited candidate has a sincere interest in working independently on projects that many may consider boring or repetitive.
Qualifications:
- Computer Skills: Strong typer, proficiency with Microsoft Excel & looking up information with a web browser (e.g. Google).
- Strong attention to detail
- Interest/ability in working alone on repetitive, detail-oriented data entry
- Passionate about the mission of the ACLU of Minnesota
