The future of civil rights relies on young people who will carry on the torch of liberty. Though youths do not always have the full rights of adults, they still enjoy fundamental constitutional guarantees. We continue to challenge limits on these rights, including limits on the freedoms of speech and assembly, and protection from unreasonable search. If you think you have a case we should review, please visit our Request Assistance section.

There are many ways for young people to get involved in the struggle to protect our civil liberties. One of the best ways to get involved is to join a local ACLU student club at your school or college or to start a new club if one does not already exist. Also, check out our For Students & Youth section for great youth educational resources.
